UAA Department of Theatre and Dance

Production is at the very center of our award-winning Theatre and Dance program. Each season, the UAA Theatre and Dance Department produces up to four plays and two dance performances on the Mainstage and the Jerry Harper Studio Theatre. Additionally, student-directed scenes, one-acts, and full-length plays are also presented throughout the year in the Harper Studio. On average, more than 100 majors, non-majors and members of the community are involved in our productions each year.

UAA Department of Art

The UAA Department of Art prepares and empowers students to use their artistic abilities to stand out and make a difference in the professional world. Our faculty are dedicated to creating an engaging curriculum that emphasizes the development of theories, skills and sensitivities essential to the professional artist and designer. In addition to gaining a solid technical foundation, students also learn communication and analytical thinking skills, as well as self discipline, focus and responsibility. Our goal is to train students to be successful, well-rounded artists and active citizens who contribute to the continuity of our vibrant culture.
